Tram Facts

Setting out some of what we believe to be failures in the project that have been embedded since the very beginning in the basic ideas of having a tram this large and this fast run along the major arterial routes crossing the city.

How this was aggravated by the failure of the arms length company to provide oversight.

That company is now defunct.

How this failure of oversight led executives into less rational decison making as the problems mounted.

How councillors failed to keep a grip on the process.

Finally how the city became stuck in a process where 'completing something' seemingly became more important to those closely involved, than the interests of the city as a whole.
