Independent Engineers warning of more trouble ahead for the Tram project
A group of Independent Civil Engineners with great experience of transport and construction projects across the world wrote an open letter almost one year ago.
This raised a number of points and taking just one of them---
2) Has the cost of removing all the contaminated ground that has been logged and
plotted along the above section of the works been taken into consideration?
Recent media stories showed the woeful state of affairs, reporting on what was effectively fly tipping by the council of toxic landwaste in contravention of it's own rules governing toxic waste.
NOW in 2012, almost a year later, the engineers have sent their second letter to the Chief Executive of Edinburgh Council,;an open letter that reflects the continuing worries that major problems remain unresolved and that the already bloated budget will prove insufficent money to solve them, once again threatening the project and city with financial disaster..
