The revelation in the Scotsman (reported on this site as well), that the Tram bosses have blown £1 Million on crisis management advice and spin, prompted some to wonder what these people do that's worth paying 'em the average person's wage every 4 or 5 weeks for 4 years---???
A few weeks ago two residents walked the tram route finding little evidence of work underway--- so a few days ago the spin doctors earned their corn by telling the Council they should mount their own picture offensive.... showing work underway!! Brilliant stuff.
The spin meisters have also decided to revist a previous idea in the last Days of Tie-tanic, (the late and unlamented, disastrous arms-length company that never gets a mention from the Council these days except when they need someone to blame for everything who can't answer back!!) , the big idea is getting some track down sharpish so the hard of thinking can see it's ' nearly finished already!!'
It was patronising when tie did it (and dangerous as the rushed botch needed to be re dug up and corrected)--hopefully our picture doesn't indicate more evidence of more haste and less speed--- although it isn't all that much of a bump for the tram at Fraser's corner on Princes Street corner, hopefully someone will notice it before the first test run and not afterwards!!
